PARTS MANAGER
Responsibilities
- Check and compare prices to purchase parts from contract vendors
- Maintains a complete inventory of parts and supplies to support a fast place maintenance shop.
- Creates purchase orders for purchases, receives parts in, prepare paper work to be forwarded off to accounting dept. for payment in a timely fashion.
- Issues parts and documents use
- Builds and maintains relationship with vendors
- Conducts monthly parts audits.
- Supervises the work of the parts clerk
- Maintain a clean and safe environment


Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED
- Driver’s license required
Experience
- Experience with automotive, heavy duty truck parts in a fast place environment

Skills and Knowledge required

- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to forecast
- Ability to identify and locate parts and supplies
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to operate fork lift
- Must be able to work under pressure

Physical requirements

- Occasionally required to lift up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to work in a shop environment
